No. Single-use (disposable) vapes have been banned across the UK since 1 June 2025. It is illegal for any shop to sell them. What replaced them is the prefilled pod kit: a small rechargeable device that takes a replaceable, pre-filled pod. It looks and feels like a disposable, costs less per puff, and is legal.

Two things. Prefilled pod kits, where you buy the device once and swap in pre-filled pods, and refillable pod kits, where you fill the pod yourself from a bottle of e-liquid. Prefilled is the closest to the disposable experience. Refillable is cheaper over a month and gives you more flavour choice. We stock both in every store.

For a nicotine vape sold in the UK the rules are: a tank or pod of no more than 2ml, nicotine strength no higher than 20mg/ml, refill bottles of no more than 10ml, and child-resistant, tamper-evident packaging with a health warning. It must not be single-use. If yours meets all of that and came from a UK retailer, it is legal.

From 1 October 2026 a new Vaping Products Duty of £2.20 per 10ml applies to every vaping liquid, whether it contains nicotine or not. A 10ml bottle of nic salt goes up by £2.20 plus VAT on that duty, which comes to about £2.64. A 100ml shortfill carries ten times that. Retailers can sell stock bought before the change until 31 March 2027, so prices will move gradually.

Yes, more than any other product. The duty is charged per 10ml, so a 100ml shortfill carries £22 of duty before VAT. Expect large bottles to close the gap on 10ml salts. If you use a lot of liquid, a refillable pod kit with nic salts becomes better value than it was.

18. We check ID in every store and online. From 29 October 2026 the same age limit applies to nicotine-free vapes and nicotine pouches as well.

Most people who switch successfully start with a pod kit and nic salt e-liquid at 10mg or 20mg, because nic salts deliver nicotine more like a cigarette does. A 20-a-day smoker usually needs 20mg to begin with, then steps down. Bring in the pack you smoke and tell us how many a day; matching the strength is most of the job.

Nic salt liquid is smoother at high strengths, so 10mg and 20mg salts are comfortable to inhale in a small pod kit. Freebase liquid is harsher at the same strength, which is why it is sold at 3mg and 6mg for bigger, more powerful kits. Salts for mouth-to-lung pod kits, freebase for direct-to-lung sub-ohm kits.

A large bottle, usually 50ml or 100ml, sold with no nicotine so it can legally be bigger than 10ml. You add a 10ml nicotine shot to bring it up to strength. A 50ml shortfill plus one 18mg shot gives 60ml at 3mg. Shortfills suit sub-ohm kits, not small pod kits.

When the flavour dulls or you get a burnt taste: usually one to three weeks depending on how much you vape and how sweet the liquid is. Sweet, dark liquids kill coils faster. Never run a pod dry. Every store keeps coils and pods for the kits we sell, so bring the device in if you are not sure which one it takes.

Yes. Nicotine pouches are tobacco-free and legal to sell to adults. From 29 October 2026 they cannot be sold to anyone under 18. They are a different product from snus, which contains tobacco and is banned.

A device that heats a tobacco stick without burning it, so there is no smoke. It is still tobacco and still contains nicotine, so it is not a vape, but many smokers who did not get on with vaping find it an easier switch. We stock heated tobacco devices and sticks in store.
